How we estimate

Most in-stock items that need no shop work leave our warehouse the same or next business day. Ordering by 12 pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, gives yours the best chance of shipping the same day.

Shop work starts once everything is in stock: trimming, cutting or prep takes 1 business day, finishing (priming, painting or staining) 1 to 3, and assembly, such as a prehung door system, 2 to 5. Out-of-stock items without a restock date usually ship in about 2 weeks, plus any shop work.

Ground parcels take 2 to 4 business days. Doors, sidelites and other large items go by freight: Priority Freight takes 2 to 5 business days and economy freight 7 to 15; you choose at checkout. Weekends and carrier holidays aren't counted. These are estimates, not guarantees.

Door Glass and Frame Kit

New door glass can transform your entryway without the need to replace your entire door system.

The Portland style strikes an artistic balance between new textures and symmetry. It also offers a high degree of privacy, with only limited clear/beveled glass in the four small squares around the chinchilla textured glass that makes the large center area opaque. Caming available in black zinc (commonly known as lead/patina) or zinc (nickel).

Kit includes door glass, inside and outside door glass frame set, screws, and screw caps.

  • Frame outside dimensions: 24" x 38" (replaces frames 23 1/2" to 24" wide and 37 1/2" to 38" tall)
  • Door cutout dimensions: 23" x 37"
  • Glass dimensions: 1" thick, 22" wide, 36" tall
Easy Installation

Our kit makes installation easy and quick. The outside frame comes pre-caulked to the glass. All you need to install the glass kit into your door is a screwdriver to secure the inside frame to the outer frame. Cover the screw heads with the included plastic caps, paint or stain if desired, and your project is finished! More on installation

Insulated Safety Glass

Triple pane glass (2 clear panes around a decorative middle pane) provides excellent insulation for energy efficiency. Glass has been tempered for safety and thermally sealed to be air and water tight.

High Performance Frame (Paint/Stain)

Comes standard with high quality polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend (PC/ABS) frames. These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. Frames can be painted or stained without a primer. They can also be left white unfinished and are "maintenance free" meaning they won't crack or discolor even without paint or stain. More on finishing door glass frames

Cleaning

Avoid contact with abrasive cleaners and solutions containing corrosive solvents or acid solutions. Glass can be cleaned using a soft cloth, and glass cleaner.

The Half glass insert was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition. Installation was as expected. I was a grinder with a metal cut-off disc to remove the section from the existing door. It was messy and a lot of sparks. My wife, who held the shop vac during the cutting was not a fan. I would use a jig saw instead if I do another door. We really like the look with the glass. I should have done this years ago!

Very prompt shipping with incredible packaging. After measuring and measuring again, the opening was cut out. I shortened a jigsaw blade and cut through one side at a time as recommended in videos I watched on YouTube. Perfect fit and better than expected results.

Cutting the hole in the door made a huge mess. I did it while it was still attached. It worked out fine but got dust everywhere in the house. The window insert is very high quality and very beautiful. It was not hard to install and looks great.

It is worth every penny! Was VERY skeptical buying this online but WOW it's worth it. It being pre-caulked makes it so easy to install. I had my son add in the inside trim while I held the outside. Took less than 15 minutes. The screw covers I learned if you gent9elly ream them out with a screw driver the inserts going in so easier. Last make sure you tighten it enough so the outside pulls up to the door. I was concerned I would over tighten. Still about 15 - 20 minutes & I was done. I would definitely buy again.

Took about two hours to install. This is a solid very heavy high density wood door. Cut exactly 23x37 and the insert dropped right in. Because this door had interior and exterior trim that had to be removed I still have cosmetic filling, sanding and painting. But it is beautiful and we love the lighting. My only downside is the screw caps. These are terrible. Hard to install and they don’t fit perfectly flush. I haven’t discussed with the company yet. I used a framing square. Tape measure, clamps, saw horses, drill, and a good jig saw.

My daughters villa was lacking natural light in her living room due to the design of her home. All the windows to the outside are located in the bedrooms, except for the slider in her kitchen. She had a solid front door with no window, now she has one that does, and she loves it. Big difference in the way the large entry and living room now look because the natural light flows in. Oh, and it was easy to install, provided you are good with a skill saw. Thanks Pease, nice window.

What an amazing shopping experience! Excellent company, products and customer service. We purchased the Portland glass frame kit for our entry door and sidelight. Also, updated our 30 year old door with new threshold, sweep, weatherstrip and hinges. Order arrived within days in perfect condition and packed very well, with detailed instructions. I was so glad to lose the eyesore of a door and transform it into one I absolutely love! We couldn't be happier. The instruction videos proved to be a huge help as well. I was told by a door supplier that I couldn't replace the window in my old door. The frame was cracked and I had duct taped it to stop the cold outside air. I was embarrassed every time someone came to our house. Then I found Pease Doors through an internet search. We replaced the window with a much nicer one than the original. I love my back door now!
