How we estimate
Most in-stock items that need no shop work leave our warehouse the same or next business day. Ordering by 12 pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, gives yours the best chance of shipping the same day.
Shop work starts once everything is in stock: trimming, cutting or prep takes 1 business day, finishing (priming, painting or staining) 1 to 3, and assembly, such as a prehung door system, 2 to 5. Out-of-stock items without a restock date usually ship in about 2 weeks, plus any shop work.
Ground parcels take 2 to 4 business days. Doors, sidelites and other large items go by freight: Priority Freight takes 2 to 5 business days and economy freight 7 to 15; you choose at checkout. Weekends and carrier holidays aren't counted. These are estimates, not guarantees.
30-day returns if unused and in the original packaging.Return policy

Our kit makes installation easy and quick. The outside frame comes pre-caulked to the glass. All you need to install the glass kit into your door is a screwdriver to secure the inside frame to the outer frame. Cover the screw heads with the included plastic caps, paint or stain if desired, and your project is finished! More on installation
Insulated Safety Glass (Low-E Optional)
Glass has been tempered for safety and thermally sealed to be air and water tight.
We recommend Low-E for applications where energy efficiency is needed, for example in areas with cold winters/hot summers (especially if the door receives direct sunlight).
High Performance Frame (Paint/Stain)
Kit includes standard white high performance plastic frames that resist cracking, warping, and discoloring due to heat and sunlight. These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. Standard white frames are ready to install and do not need to be painted, but can be painted or stained after lightly sanding and priming. More on finishing door glass frames
Cleaning
Avoid contact with abrasive cleaners and solutions containing corrosive solvents or acid solutions. Glass can be cleaned using a soft cloth, and glass cleaner.
Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 41 reviews.
The process was very easy. We couldn't be happier with the results. Here are before and after photos.
The door glass was busted out by the previous owner. It was a hot mess of plexiglass and silicone sealant! The replacement glass and frame fit perfect! The best part is it was fraction of the price of buying a new door. Now the door is sound and weather resistant. I couldn't be more pleased!
Make better products. The plastic that is used in the frames for your windows is apparently sub-par for what is is used for. When I opened the box (no apparent damage to box from drops or mishaps) and started to unscrew the 4 screws holding it together, I found 4 places where the screws hold the two frames together already broken. One of the broken places did not even have a screw in it yet.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear the frame arrived with damage.
The frame is engineered to absorb impact during shipping to help protect the insulated glass unit, so in some cases the frame may sustain damage while the glass remains intact. While this is not the condition we expect you to receive, it is intended to minimize the risk of damage to the glass itself during transit.
Please contact our team directly at info@peasedoors.com and include a few photos of the damaged frame. We'll be happy to review the damage and assist with providing a replacement frame so you can complete your installation.
We appreciate the opportunity to resolve this for you.

Installation was easy and it gave us the quick update we were desiring! However, because I was unable to paint the inside trim pieces, it became more obvious as shown in the pictures. Overall very happy!
It was scary to cut your front door but I took a leap and did it and it was very easy.. it took about an hour to cut and install the window insert. Very dramatic change that has my neighbors asking question. Thank you again for a good product overall.
We recently updated the door to our new build and added a 4lite glass window insert. The results were amazing and probably one of my favorite diy home projects. Initially, I received a damaged package and opened it to find a severely broken frame but Pease doors did a great job to get me a replacement frame as quickly as possible. Over all great customer service and I was appreciative of the resources they provide to help you prepare and with the installation. (One star removed due to receiving my initial order damaged beyond use.) I'm pretty happy with my door!
We have been planning on doing this since we purchased the home two years ago. It was a very easy DIY project and updated our entry significantly at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a new door. We had a solid mahogany existing wood door that was 34 years of wear. It is amazing, every time I walk by,it makes me smile. Highly recommend!!!
The people at Pease were so polite and helpful! I highly recommend their product and their customer service is top notch! My doors went from drab to beautiful. I absolutely love them! Better than I ever imagined!
The glass inset kit we purchased was exactly what we were hoping for. We did not need many tools to complete the project. After all, the project looks so beautiful and just exactly like we were hoping for.
This is my second Pease project and, although the actual door took more work (had to do some bondo work to fill in the body lines the new frame didn't quite cover), the actual install was quite simple! Really, it was- remove the door and put on saw horses then measure and cut out your new opening. I sanded, bondoed and repainted my door, did a test fit on both sides with the interior glass frame then remounted the door (as it is lighter without the glass) then installed the new insert. Quite simple and I am LOVING all of that glorious light! Now I just need to repaint my whole house to look as nice as the door does!! 😆
By far one of the easiest projects diys ive ever done! It is a 2 person job application but its very easy. Arrived in perfect condition. Cant wait to see how the window takes the heat in summer time!
I am so impressed with how quick my shipment was and how easy it was to change my window on the exterior door was! I will definitely recommend this company!
This kit made adding glass to our door so easy! We originally hired a local company to do the glass for us. After 10 weeks they still didn’t have our glass in. I went online and ordered from peasedoors and our glass shipped same day and It arrived a few days later! The whole project took my husband about an hour. We love our new glass and all the light we have in our entry way now!
I've been wanting to do something about our door since we bought our house 5 years ago because the wooden frame on the door glass was cracked and warped. I didn't know it was even an option to replace the frame or door glass, but I somehow stumbled upon the Pease website. I wanted to go with rectangular glass instead of oval, but I was nervous to cut into our door. Once we got started on the project, it probably took 2 hours with the cuts and everything. Putting the glass insert in was super simple. My husband and I both love the finished product!
The only thing we were disappointed with was the backside of the attached frame can’t be painted black to match everything else. It’s white. You have to look to see it. Otherwise, we love the end result! Such an inexpensive facelift !
We absolutely love our "new" front door! Our new look is much more modern and we loved the fact that we saved quite a bit of money by simply replacing the glass versus purchasing a brand new door. So glad we found Pease Doors!!
I bought the same insert 3 years ago to replace the ugly glass in the door when we bought our house. This purchase was because our Gardner kicked up a rock and broke the glass :(
The quality of the frame has really gone down hill, much flimsier and smaller than the one from 3 years ago, and a LOT more expensive.
Store owner replied:
Hi Kathy! We are sorry to hear you feel this way! Our frames are actually very high quality and should last a long time. They are high heat tolerant, and extremely durable. Please let us know if you experience any issues.
Love the look and the quality. I had to trim an inch off the opening of the door and sidelight but after that it popped right in super easy to do!
This glass was so easy to insert! I did it myself, but I would recommend having someone else help just because the glass is heavy. I was going to just replace the whole door and sidelites but that would have been 3-4x the price and the only problem with our door was it needed a little update. So far so good and I will definitely shop here again!

Hello Giles,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the glazing bars didn’t meet your expectations. The bars are designed to sit flush once fully secured and properly seated, but if they appeared uneven, there may have been an installation or fitment issue we can help troubleshoot. Please reach out to us at info@peasedoors.com
with a few photos, we’d be happy to review and help make it right.
