Moved into our new house and previous owners had cut a few door jambs when replacing the floor. Ordered the poplar jamb kit from Peasedoors and am very pleased with the solid wood jamb.

Set of lock jamb, hinge jamb, and head jamb (2 sides and top) for a single interior door.
Stain grade poplar can be stained or painted to match your desired look. Solid poplar in double rabbeted construction means the stop is built into the jamb (rather than applied separately), providing unparalleled durability, stability, and ease of installation.
Select size to fit doors from 12" to 24" wide, 80 to 96" tall, and 1 3/8" thick (standard interior door thickness):
- Note that head jamb should be 3/16" (.1875") wider than actual door slab. This is to ensure smooth operation, allowing our recommended 1/16" space on the hinge side and 1/8" (2/16") space on the strike or lock side

Since interior doors often measure the full nominal width, for example a 3/0 or 36" door will measure a full 36.0", we send our head jambs with sufficient length to work for these full-width doors
- If your door measures between sizes, just buy the next size up and sand or cut head jamb to fit

- Designed for interior doors 1 3/8" thick
- Length: Select 81 3/4", 85 3/4" or 97 3/4"
- Perfect for 80.0" interior doors while still leaving clearance for carpet, can also be easily trimmed shorter off bottom as needed
- Depth: Select 4 9/16" or 6 9/16"
- 4 9/16" are standard depth jambs for use with typical (2x4) construction
- 6 9/16" are extended depth jambs for use with (2x6) construction
- Thickness: 1 1/8" including stop, 11/16" thick not including stop
Handing & Prep:
- Select Right or Left Handing:
- Hinge or lock prep jambs: Stand in the room that the door swings into - if the door handle is on the right hand side or the door you need a right hand lock or hinge jamb.
- Prep specifications:
- Standard hinge prep is for 3.5" x 3.5" interior hinges with 5/8" round radius corners (about the same curvature as a quarter). See pictures for drawing of hinge placements
- Standard lock prep is for a single latch, matching a door slab with lock center located 36" from the bottom edge of the door slab. See picture for measurements

2nd set of jambs I’ve ordered. First set came in fine. This set came in pretty bad shape. Large areas of wood filler and large crack at bottom. Wood filler in area shows crack was noticed and sent anyway. Considering this is supposed to be stain grade wood, disappointing.

Great door jams that fit perfectly and look amazing
The door jam kit was extremely well made. They are heavier and thinker than the ones you can find at a big box store. This made the install easier and the door handing feels better than average. If you have an old house, keep an eye on the door mortising. I had to create new openings in a slightly different place.
Excellent quality and pricing is lower ( even with shipping) than buying it locally. The two big box stores don’t carry the door casings. So, to make up my own, it’s less expensive to buy and ship it than it is for my labor. I will do it again. Highly recommend !!

Superb wood quality, perfect fit
We are remodeling our bathroom which has a 28 inch door. We tried to find a pre hung door that would match the other doors in the house but we're unable to find anything. We ended up special ordering a door but of course there was no door jamb included. I started searching on line for a jamb and came a across your company and found exactly what we needed. The order came quickly and the quality was exceptional. We are now able to put the door in and our project will be complete!

We custom made doors for our cabin remodel. Since the doors were handmade, we needed door jambs. These are perfect. The wood matches our cabin feel and we were just able to add a layer of polyurethane to keep the wood color looking good.

This kit made it so easy to replace several door jams after my basement flooded. I was dreading the job as each door was slightly unique in size. As a women with limited carpentry skills and lots of bad experiences with contractors, I was looking for "ready made" materials and helpful guidance. Pease delivered! The range of available sizes combined with the quality manufacturing made this an incredibly easy project for a wanna-be do-it-yourselfer.
Jambs had deep cuts that will need to be sanded out.

The poplar in these door frame kits vary wildly. I understand poplar can sometimes have grain and color variations, but when packing these up, there could be a little more care to more closely match. The top almost looks like a different species of wood it is so far off. Would not purchase from here again.

The jambs are mortised at 7 from top and bottom instead of normal western 7 and 11.
