How we estimate
Most in-stock items that need no shop work leave our warehouse the same or next business day. Ordering by 12 pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, gives yours the best chance of shipping the same day.
Shop work starts once everything is in stock: trimming, cutting or prep takes 1 business day, finishing (priming, painting or staining) 1 to 3, and assembly, such as a prehung door system, 2 to 5. Out-of-stock items without a restock date usually ship in about 2 weeks, plus any shop work.
Ground parcels take 2 to 4 business days. Doors, sidelites and other large items go by freight: Priority Freight takes 2 to 5 business days and economy freight 7 to 15; you choose at checkout. Weekends and carrier holidays aren't counted. These are estimates, not guarantees.
30-day returns if unused and in the original packaging.Return policy

Single 81" magnetic strip for use on lock and head jambs of metal-edged doors.
High reach weatherstrip is a serious upgrade for doors that need a tighter seal against the elements and pests. A great option if you can see daylight around your door from inside the home or if you can feel a draft, for example on older doors that have settled slightly out of alignment or in cold climates where stripping shrinks over time and the wind blows cold air at the door with force.

Magnet in strip creates a refrigerator-like seal on lock and top sides of metal or metal-edged wood and fiberglass doors
We recommend compression weatherstrip for the hinge side (allows the door to fully close) and for doors that do not have a metal edge
81" Length made for doors roughly 6' 8" tall. Can all be trimmed with scissors to fit shorter doors
Thermoplastic rubber (TPE) maintains flexibility in extreme cold and resists tearing
Fits steel, wood, and fiberglass doors with wood jambs and standard 1/8" kerf. Please make sure that you have WOOD JAMBS. Steel jambs often have a wider kerf so check to ensure you have a 1/8" kerf
Seals gaps up to 1/4" to 1/2" door exterior face to jamb (roughly double the reach of standard weatherstrip)

Seems to have worked well.Had to rip 3 -1/2" jamb stock to 2-1/2" width and then split the 1/2" width with a 1/8" X 1/2" deep kerf to immediate the weather stripping in. Then fastened in place after gluing stripping into kerf and then stapling it to the kerfed stripping with 1/2" staples.
This product is exactly like the weatherstripping that was originally on our doors when we built 30+ years ago. The installation was simple and quick. I will be ordering more to replace the other exterior doors soon. The weatherstripping in the photo that is on the outside of the door is there to prevent our cat from being able to get her claws in the new product that we’ve just installed. The product was shipped in a box that protected it well on its way here. Very pleased.
The weather strip arrived in a crushed and partially opened box, it may have been damaged during shipping. However upon inspection of the weather strip it was very dirty like it had been sitting on a shelf for years, but because it didn’t appear damaged I cleaned and installed it. The installation was very easy and the weather stripping worked well.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re sorry the weatherstripping arrived with a crushed and partially opened box, and especially that the product itself appeared dirty upon arrival. That’s certainly not the condition we want our products to reach our customers in.
We’re glad to hear you were able to clean it up, that the installation was straightforward, and that the weatherstripping ultimately worked well for you. We’ll share your comments regarding the packaging and condition of the product with our team so we can look into ways to improve the shipping and handling process.
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to help with your project.
My weatherstripping on an astragal was no longer functional. Everybody said that I would need to replace the astragal. I found this weatherstripping on the site and decided to order it. Fit perfectly.

Quality product, easy to install, as described on the Pease website. I did not have to use Customer Service for this order, but they make it easy to do so if needed! Thanks, will definitely order from again!
Removed older plastic frame around original glass in metal "Johnson "door and installed new plastic frame from Pease. I had to buy 2 eight inch u-clamps in order to squeeze together the inside and outside plastic frame. I did this in a linear sequence with clamps placed about 3 inches on each side of the screw. This enabled the factory supplied glue/caulk to be squeezed tightly so that please plastic frame was flush with the window surface. I then removed the original weatherstripping and replaced with the Pease metallic weatherstripping kit. Fit perfectly in the jamb kerf and sealed well against the door. I also added the 4 rubber corner peal and stick pads obtained from Pease. In summary, very happy with the dimensional fit of these products.
Both the door sweep and seals fit perfectly. So happy with the fit and ease of replacing.
Thank you Pease doors for making our project easy to accomplish.
Quick and easy install. I liked being able to trim it to size with just scissors. And there’s a much better seal than the old stuff we had. Will be ordering for all of our doors.
Had to replace weather stripping with a magnetic edge for a steel door. Printed instructions and video were very helpful in helping me "adjust" the weatherstripping to achieve a good seal on the door (by prying the barb partially out of the kerf as needed).
Also, the "high reach" weatherstipping available from Pease Doors was a much better fit than the "smaller" size weatherstripping available at big box stores.
Very satisfied with the product and the customer service (ordering online, shipping, and speedy delivery).

Hi Stacey,
Thank you for reaching out. It looks like the the door or jamb may be warped which is why you're seeing an inconsistent gap size. Unfortunately an imperfect door will lead to an imperfect weatherstripping fit. That being said, if you can reach out to info@peaedoors.com we can further assist in getting you a product better suited for your needs!
High quality weatherstrip with nice magnet closure. Unfortunately the second set I ordered is too wide for my other door, will be ordering the smaller standard size to install on that door.
We have a metal door that needed new weather stripping after we painted the exterior of house. It was suggested we get white to match the paint job. But as you can see light shows though on inside and it barely covers the gap. It is slightly thinner than the original stripping. But this was the only kind we found that matched the style we had. So kind of disappointed that we see gaps now. Doesn’t look good.
Store owner replied:
Hi Sylvia, Thank you for your feedback! We understand your concern about the light showing through. Please note that seeing light doesn’t necessarily indicate a bad seal, as long as you don’t feel air pushing through. It’s possible the measurements may need to be rechecked to ensure the best fit. If you'd like further assistance, feel free to reach out to us directly at info@peasedoors.com. We're here to help!
I wanted to repair my 35 year old door instead of replacing it. I thought it was going impossible to find a replacement gasket with the age of the door. I was surprised that the gasket was still available. I went to work. I repainted the door. Added new hinges as well a new lock and of course the new gasket. The door is now in perfect condition seals nice and tight keeping out the cold drafts and looks almost new. Much better than spending hundreds installing a new door.
The new magnetic seal did a great job sealing the door. Before the seal was installed, there was daylight showing when the door was closed, now there is a nice tight seal, no daylight! The old seal was a rubber compression seal that had been in place for 40-50 years.
Exceeded my expectations. Should have taken a before photo. Had black weatherstripping that had been splattered with white paint over decades. Looked awful. The new white magnetic completely upgraded the seal and aesthetics. Installation took maybe 15 minutes..... Measure twice, cut once. 5 stars!!!
The old weatherstripping (44 years old) was split/ripped. This was an exact match for the equally old steel door. I just pulled out the old and inserted it the new weatherstripping. The only additional prep was to press in/back small pin nails that were originally used to secure the kerf in the slot about every 10 inches with a small chisel.
Installation was easy. Looks great from the exterior. The translucency of the material makes it look like the door is not closed when viewed from interior (second picture).
