Description

Set includes 2x 81" magnetic strips for the head jamb and lock jamb, and 1x 81" compression strip for the hinge jamb - everything you need to completely replace your old weatherstrip. Available in white and bronze.

High reach weatherstrip is a serious upgrade for doors that need the tightest seal possible. A great option if your existing weatherstrip shows daylight or if you can feel a draft, for example on older doors that have settled slightly out of alignment or in cold climates where rubber tends to shrink, and the wind blows cold air at the door with force.

Specifications & Fit

Magnet in strip creates a refrigerator-like seal on lock and top sides of metal or metal-edged wood and fiberglass doors (hinge side takes compression strip to prevent binding on the magnet)
Seals standard to larger gaps -- about 1/4" to 1/2" from door exterior face to jamb kerf or slot (about double the reach of standard weatherstrip)
Made out of thermoplastic rubber (TPE) that maintains flexibility in extreme cold and resists tearing
We recommend this weatherstripping for metal and metal-edged doors (for wood and fiberglass doors we recommend compression weatherstrip)
Available in clean white and bronze (neutral brown color)
Note that the white color can be translucent in direct sunlight, so we do not recommend white for doors that face the sun because even though the stripping seals the door, it can appear that the door has gaps and light may shine through
81" Length made for doors roughly 6' 8" tall. Can all be trimmed with scissors to fit shorter doors
Fits door jambs with standard 1/8" kerf or slot
Please make sure that you have WOOD JAMBS. Steel jambs often have a wider kerf so check to ensure you have a 1/8" kerf
Kit includes 3 pieces to seal each side (hinge jamb, lock jamb, and head jamb) of a standard single door. If you have double doors, just order a single additional high reach compression strip
