How we estimate

Most in-stock items that need no shop work leave our warehouse the same or next business day. Ordering by 12 pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, gives yours the best chance of shipping the same day.

Shop work starts once everything is in stock: trimming, cutting or prep takes 1 business day, finishing (priming, painting or staining) 1 to 3, and assembly, such as a prehung door system, 2 to 5. Out-of-stock items without a restock date usually ship in about 2 weeks, plus any shop work.

Ground parcels take 2 to 4 business days. Doors, sidelites and other large items go by freight: Priority Freight takes 2 to 5 business days and economy freight 7 to 15; you choose at checkout. Weekends and carrier holidays aren't counted. These are estimates, not guarantees.

Door Glass and Frame Kit

New door glass can transform your entryway without the need to replace your entire door system.

The Saxon design is the most elegant and refined decorative glass style that we offer. It contains ornate bevels, intricate textures, and a breathtaking central cluster that helps a door make a strong first impression. Available in black (lead/patina), brass, and nickel caming. This glass style offers more visibility relative to privacy, thanks to the large central cluster composed of clear beveled glass.

Kit includes door glass, inside and outside door glass frame set, screws, and screw caps.

Measurements:

Style: 3/4 Lite (rectangular)

  • Frame outside dimensions: 24" x 50" (replaces frames 23 1/2" to 24" wide and 49 1/2" to 50" tall) PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR FRAMES ARE NO MORE THAN 50 1/8" TALL (best to measure frame on inside of home if exterior frame is cracked/warped).
  • Door cutout dimensions: 23" x 49"
  • Glass dimensions: 1" thick, 22" wide, 48" tall
Easy Installation

Our kit makes installation easy and quick. The outside frame comes pre-caulked to the glass. All you need to install the glass kit into your door is a screwdriver to secure the inside frame to the outer frame. Cover the screw heads with the included plastic caps, paint or stain if desired, and your project is finished! More on installation

Insulated Safety Glass

Triple pane glass (2 clear panes around a decorative middle pane) provides excellent insulation for energy efficiency. Glass has been tempered for safety and thermally sealed to be air and water tight.

High Performance Frame (Paint/Stain)

Comes standard with high quality polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend (PC/ABS) frames. These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. Frames can be painted or stained without a primer. They can also be left white unfinished and are "maintenance free" meaning they won't crack or discolor even without paint or stain. More on finishing door glass frames

Please contact us for pricing and to special order tan frames (provide a better base color if you plan on staining) or modern flat profile frames (also known as shaker or craftsman style).

Cleaning

Avoid contact with abrasive cleaners and solutions containing corrosive solvents or acid solutions. Glass can be cleaned using a soft cloth, and glass cleaner.

After 24 years in our home, the glass frames in our door began to fail. We ordered new frames in August, and the contractor hired to install them broke one of our sidelights. The matching sidelight was no longer available, so we had to order all new glass. The contractor stuck with us, the new glass is in and we are very happy with the results! We loved our old glass, but the new glass is beautiful and the door looks new!

Moved into a new house with a 3/4 plain glass door. It was horrible. I didn't know the glass could be replaced until I found Pease. The new glass is absolutely beautiful. Full disclosure though. I hired a handyman to install it as I didn't have the confidence to do it myself. I would definitely shop at Pease again for any future glass or door needs.

We are absolutely thrilled with our replacement glass and frame. It is a beautiful, well-crafted product. Customer service interface, however, is lacking. We ordered online with the expectation (as indicated on the website) that it would ship in 3-4 days. It did not, and we had difficulty contacting customer service. After several calls, we were informed it was on backorder, would ship as soon as our order came up in the queue and we would be notified when shipment occurred. After several weeks, the product shipped but we were not advised. It sat on our front porch for several days after delivery as we had moved to our new home. We found the package on our weekly check-in trip. If we had been informed of the shipment, we could have arranged to be there when it was delivered.

The seal on our former door lite gave way so we had to replace them. The design I picked was similar to the one we had so I didn’t expect much difference. Boy was I wrong; the new lights are just gorgeous! They really make the center entry pop! I am extremely please with my purchase and my husband loves them too!
