Interior Astragal (Stain Grade Poplar)

Stain Grade Poplar Interior Astragal. Designed to close the gap between a pair of interior doors, this T-astragal provides a clean, architectural finish. It can be installed either on the inactive door (referred to as floating) or mounted centrally between the two doors (fixed), depending on your preferred application. Mounting centrally will help with visible privacy but will require ball catch style latches at the top of each door to hold each door closed. For locking privacy (e.g., on bedrooms), we recommend installing the astragal onto the inactive door. This allows a privacy style handle to be installed on the active door and the inactive door can be secured from inside the room with surface bolts or flush bolts into the head jamb (and floor if desired).
