Description

Replacement Hinge

Set of 3 premium exterior door hinges (most doors require 3 hinges). Great for hanging new doors or refreshing the hardware on existing doors. Select from available finishes.

Note: Oil-Rubbed Bronze is designed to be a “living” finish. Light scratches or scuffs may reveal hints of the bronze beneath, which is normal and not a defect. Over time, these areas blend into the natural patina and add character to the hinge.

Features a "safety stud" for use in outswing applications to prevent unwanted entry via hinge pin removal.

Additional specifications:

  • Hinges measure 4" by 4" with 5/8" radial outside corners
    • This is the most popular size and shape for residential exterior doors
    • Great for hanging new doors or replacing hinges on existing doors
    • Hole pattern matches Masonite brand doors. Can also be adapted to fit many other door brands by patching screw holes. Just make sure that your existing hinge matches the overall size and shape
  • .085" (2.2mm) gauge (thickness)
  • Plain bearing, butt style hinge with removable pin
  • Stainless steel plated for strength and to resist corrosion
  • Includes matching screws for use with wood jambs and wood or steel edge door
  • For use with standard exterior doors -- typically 1.625 (1 5/8") or 1.75" (1 3/4") thick

Straightforward installation does not require removing door from frame.

Perfect fit for Masonite 90 minute fire proof exterior door. I was nervous because Masonite wants you to special order through a dealer but these were what I needed. Thank you

Perfect size and color!!

Two out of the six hinges we received are bad. One is 100% stuck (in an L-shape if you will) and a struggle to open/close at all. Another one is 50% stuck so both of these squeak SO LOUDLY when trying to open/close, its' insane. Many are scratched by each other as well via poorly packed for transit. We purchased these assuming they are brand new and never been used. Perhaps they have never been used but why are they this bad? We wanted new ones so we didn't have to "oil" them for a long time. Also....whoever shipped these needs to re-think their packaging strategy. All six were in a box much larger than they should have been in since there was zero packaging materials at all to take up the voided room. There was a very small bit of bubble wrap randomly placed in the box (not wrapped around any of the items at all) but it did not have tape on it at all to make sure the hinges were secure. Either way, in a box much larger than the items, there should have been either large shipping bubbles, styrofoam, or crumpled up paper to fill voids. Taping the tiny amount of bubble wrap around the actual items would have been at least added a bit of protection. Anything really. Because there was nothing, 2/3rds of these metal hinges are scratched by EACH OTHER in transit. You have to remember that shipping companies most always toss small and medium size boxes on and off the vehicles. Hence why items packed in boxes need to also have protection added as well to fill the voids. Not doing this, ups your chance big time, that damage will occur in transit (which it did in this case).

Perfect fit for 22 year old door!

Would have been nice if bag of screws included 6 each satin nickel #9 x 2 1/2” or an add on option to purchase them. Thanks

Only place I could find hinges that fit the door. Big box stores were no help
