Ships in 1 to 3 business days, then 2 to 5 business days with Priority Freight, or 7 to 15 by economy freight. Ships on a pallet, delivered curbside.
How we estimate
Most in-stock items that need no shop work leave our warehouse the same or next business day. Ordering by 12 pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, gives yours the best chance of shipping the same day.
Shop work starts once everything is in stock: trimming, cutting or prep takes 1 business day, finishing (priming, painting or staining) 1 to 3, and assembly, such as a prehung door system, 2 to 5. Out-of-stock items without a restock date usually ship in about 2 weeks, plus any shop work.
Ground parcels take 2 to 4 business days. Doors, sidelites and other large items go by freight: Priority Freight takes 2 to 5 business days and economy freight 7 to 15; you choose at checkout. Weekends and carrier holidays aren't counted. These are estimates, not guarantees.
Slab or complete door system, swing, prep and finish. The price updates as you go.

Replace or upgrade existing interior doors with our hand-crafted interior door slabs. Clean and modern shaker flat two panel configuration.
Made of solid poplar panels, this door is immensely satisfying to open/close and brings a stately look and feel to any room.
Poplar is the perfect wood for interior doors:
Sturdy but relatively light hardwood that will handle normal wear & tear with ease and last for decades
Renowned for it's ability to take paint and stains well
Dense enough to upgrade sound privacy but light enough to stay aligned in your frames and easily open & shut
Carpenters also prefer poplar as it is a relatively easy wood to work with and finish (great pore density, balance of medium firmness/weight, doesn't have the sappy or knotty qualities of pine)
Extremely stable wood holds it size and shape (prevents warping which can cause doors to get "stuck")
An excellent option for bedroom, hallway, office, bathroom, closet, and pantry doors.

Slab Width: Available in a variety of widths 12-36" (trimmable up to 1/4" per side for 1/2" total, note that actual door width is 1/8" less than stated size, so for example a 36" door is actually 35 7/8" to ensure clearance with door jamb)
Slab Thickness: 1.375" (1 3/8") - standard interior door thickness
Additional specifications:
Sand and paint or stain to finish, see our paint category to purchase paint & finishing instructions below
Flat edge (not "prepped" or mortised for hinges) - trace your existing hinges onto your new slab
Kiln dried shrink resistant panels to ensure maximum stability (limits wood expansion/contraction/warping)
Stile & rail construction with true jointed panels for a premium look and feel
Finishing & Installation
1. Before finishing, remove existing door and trace hinges and lock bore placement onto new door (by laying existing door on top of new door and tracing with a pencil)
2. Bore out lock holes and mortise hinges on new door. Screw hinges onto new door slab.
3. Sand door with 150-180 grit sandpaper (remember to sand back and forth in the direction of the grain)
4. Clean the door (get all of the dust debris off of the surface of the door)
5. Finish the door:
To stain: Apply a high-quality wood stain and finish with a clear polyurethane topcoat (solvent-borne or waterborne polyurethane)
To paint: 1. Seal door with oil-based primer. 2. Apply 2 coats of our trim urethane paint or an interior oil-based or acrylic latex paint
6. Hang the door in the existing jambs, wedging shims or underneath the bottom edge of the door while you screw the hinges into the jambs, working from top to bottom
7. Install door lock/hardware
8. Test door swing and alignment (door should not swing open or closed on its own, should latch and open smoothly, should have even spacing all around the door -- you should be able to slide a quarter all the way around the sides and top of the door)
I am a first time Pease Door customer but would not hesitate to be a repeat customer in the near future. The website was easy to navigate with so many choices. The ordering process was easy, fast and efficient. The 2 shaker panel doors I ordered were shipped promptly and the delivery was flawless. Everything was well packaged and the doors themselves were as described and of great quality. I am definitely pleased with the purchase and Pease Doors as a whole. Thank you!
Lovely doors. I'm pleased how fine the finish is, and it is lot tougher than I was expecting. Pease comes across as a family business and it was a pleasure to do business with them.
The slab that was purchased on this order, was a replacement for one that was provided on order #126133. The project was a couple of years in the making and the doors were one of the last things to be installed. 4 of the 5 slabs from the original order were fine and look great. The 5th one though looked like it had been pieced together with small brad nails and glue. The areas where the nails are located, have an area of glue that would not take the stain and looks blotchy. I have photos that I can send if needed. I have another project that I'm looking at but am considering an alternative source for the doors. Your response would be most welcome.
Store owner replied:
We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced with the 5th slab from your original order. Quality is extremely important to us, and we’re sorry this fell short of your expectations. We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to make things right and regain your trust. Please feel free to share the photos, and we’ll do everything we can to address the situation. Please email us at info@peasedoors.com
We haven't hung them yet, but they look like just what we envisioned. Thank you
Door shipped fairly well, box was opened on 1 end. Door looked nice, but will need lots of sanding to remove dings and scratches (don't think from shipping, it was covered in 2 layers of plastic) and smooth out sharp edges. Looks pretty well made.
Spent some serious time looking for a quality solid core door and came upon this beauty of a company! Quick and concise customer service with great follow through. Very happy with the product and can’t wait to see it in my finished space… would definitely recommend and utilize again in the future… Thank you Pease!
Stand inside the home, facing the door. If it swings toward you it is an inswing door, and the knob side names the hand: knob on your left is left hand inswing. For an outswing door, use the hinge side instead.
