Single 81" compression strip. Our premium weatherstrip creates a tight seal against the elements and pests. It is made of high-quality thermoplastic rubber (TPE) and is an upgrade compared to standard foam weatherstripping.
Specifications & Fit
We recommend this weatherstripping for all 3 sides (lock jamb, hinge jamb, and head jamb) on wood or fiberglass doors (for metal doors we recommend magnetic weatherstrip for the lock and head jamb sides)
81" Length made for doors roughly 6' 8" tall. Can all be trimmed with scissors to fit shorter doors.
Fits steel, wood, and fiberglass doors with wood jambs and standard 1/8" kerf. Please make sure that you have a WOOD JAMBS. Steel jambs often have a wider kerf so check to ensure you have a 1/8" kerf.
Best for doors with standard to minimal gaps (1/16" to 1/8" gap between door edge and jamb and 1/8" to 1/4" gap between door face and jamb)

Stanley (steel/wood/fiberglass doors)
Taylor (steel/wood/fiberglass doors)
Mastercraft (steel/wood/fiberglass doors)
Perma Door (steel/wood/fiberglass doors)
Castlegate (steel/wood/fiberglass doors)
Masonite (steel/wood/fiberglass doors)
Therma Tru (steel/wood/fiberglass doors)
Jeld-Wen (steel/wood/fiberglass doors)
Other brands (unmarked steel/fiberglass/wood doors)
It was easy to install, looks good but unfortunately, it doesn’t seal completely in my case because it’s not wide enough. With the doors closed I can see a bit of light between the hinge side door edge and the frame so I could tell it was not fully sealing the door.
I was unsure to start with which kerf weatherstripping I needed but given the parameters I was given I changed from a longer compression one to this one.
Not detracting from it because for someone else’s application it would probably be the right one.
It’s just difficult to choose when you can’t actually see the item in person.
After a poor install twice, I was able to see outside through the door gaps. That causing air seepage and a high gas utility bill. I ordered the magnetic kerf weatherproof stripping. It looks nice and definitely helps with the door draft. Pease Doors are very professional, reliable and trustworthy. I would use them again when needed.
Worked perfectly on 28 year old pease metal door. Original seal was white and had to opt. for brown. I used the standard kerf into the wood slot. Larger one would have made door hard to close. My door was not warped. Hinged without magnet strip also made sense.
The front double doors are 70 years old. The cost to replace them was out of the budget. Pease had the perfect replacement weahterstripping. So with a little prep, paint, and Pease we restored the doors beautifully and they are weather tight again. I will be buying the replacement door window kit and weatherstripping next year when we refurbish the french double doors we have in the back of the house. Beautiful products that fit perfectly.
It isn’t big enough! The seal does not touch my door when the door is closed. It actually made my gap worse than it was with the generic foam weatherstrip. I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade for a better seal

Hello Cameron,
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear that the seal isn’t providing the results you expected. If there’s a significant gap around your door, it’s possible that you may need a thicker weatherstripping to ensure a proper seal.
We’d be happy to help you find the right product to address the gap. Please let us know if you’d like further assistance, and we’ll make sure you get the best solution for your door.
I really appreciate this company. It’s pretty surprising nowadays to be able to deal with the original company that made these doors 30 years ago and be able to get all the new weatherstripping and replacement thresholds. They shipped out super fast and I had the products in two days. Also, when I made a mistake on the weatherstripping, they bailed me out and got a new strip sent right out. Two years ago, I was able to get replacement glass and weather stripping and thresholds for two other doors and that installation went great and those refreshed doors are still servicing as well! Thanks again…
I would like to share my finished results, but I can't remove the original kerf-weatherstrip. Do you have recommendations on how to remove this old weatherstrip?
Thanks.
Craig Erickson
The magnet strip of the seal is a little thin compared to the old one (picture included). Magnet strength is very weak that left a gap along the edge of the closed door (picture included).

Wayne, I apologize for the hassle! Could you give me a call at 513-871-8907? Let's get this issue resolved for you! Best, Arial.
It was easy but the right side i have a 1/8 in is daylight i call in but they want me to buy seal strip wider for 20 dollor plus fright i guest i learn my lesson no help
Found this website by browsing the internet because lowes nor home depot didnt have what i needed. Miss Areial at Pease doors was very patient in assisting me with findiing the right Weatherstrip for my 30 year old door. When i received it, The fit was "like a glove". Very easy installation. Excellent customer Service!!
These weatherstrip seals were advertised to fit my Therma-Tru doors but left a large gap when installed. It turns out I needed a larger weatherstrip bulb size and the website does not warn us of this. When I sent an e-mail asking for assistance the response was that I should have ordered a different size and I was stuck with a set of parts that were useless and no refund or exchange was offered. I would not recommend this company based on this type of response.

Hi John, sorry to hear that!! We'll send you a set of our High-Reach Weatherstrip free of charge to help make up for your troubles.
Everything went perfect putting a new light into our 30 year old door after cutting the hole to dimensions noted in package. Couldn’t be happier.
FINALLY found the right parts for our 25 yr old front door! Replaced weather stripping and bottom door sweep.
Nothing else worked. We just happened to see the word "Pease" on the door through the paint and decided to look it up; presto! Would love to have it in grey but the brown looked fine once we got it installed.
I'm very impressed that I could find replacement weatherstripping for a door I installed in 1983. I've kept the door and wood jamb painted over the years and now with the new weatherstrip, the door is good for another 37 years.
I wish we had more products in the building industry that stayed true to their product.

It replaces a magnet stripping. For some reason conditions did not allow a magnet replacement. Removal of the old stripping was easy, and the new one went into the kerf without too much trouble. Door closes nicely, and daylight cannot be observed around the perimeter. Pease recommendation did work. Cold weather will be the final test. I'm guessing that the compression stripping will not provide a seal equal to that of the magnetic stripping.
High quality weatherstripping and corner seal made a huge and lasting difference compared to what I got at Lowe's (for the same price!!!) I still see a thin strip of light coming through a 1 foot section, but haven't had a chance to make a call yet. Still, I'm VERY pleased!!!
Replacement of old seals that were not magnetic, and yes this was for a metal door. I was getting gaps with the door shut. Could feel air pushing, besides also could see day light in spots. All that is no longer a problem. The seals are easy to remove and install, should be able to do without tools. 👍
I ordered several sets of weatherstripping. They mistakenly sent 1 item incorrectly. I emailed customer service about the error and they immediately responded and sent the correct part and I received it in about 3 days. Mistakes can happen. Customer service was excellent in responding and remedying the issue. Very satisfied customer.
