Description

Door Glass and Frame Kit

New door glass can transform your entryway without the need to replace your entire door system.

The Portland style strikes an artistic balance between new textures and symmetry. It also offers a high degree of privacy, with only limited clear/beveled glass in the four small squares around the chinchilla textured glass that makes the large center area opaque. Caming available in black zinc (commonly known as lead/patina) or zinc (nickel).

Kit includes door glass, inside and outside door glass frame set, screws, and screw caps.

Style: Half Sidelite (rectangular)

  • Frame outside dimensions: 10" x 38" (replaces frames 9 1/2" to 10" wide and 37 1/2" to 38" tall)
  • Door cutout dimensions: 9" x 37"
  • Glass dimensions: 1" thick, 8" wide, 36" tall
Easy Installation

Our kit makes installation easy and quick. The outside frame comes pre-caulked to the glass. All you need to install the glass kit into your door is a screwdriver to secure the inside frame to the outer frame. Cover the screw heads with the included plastic caps, paint or stain if desired, and your project is finished! More on installation
Insulated Safety Glass

Triple pane glass (2 clear panes around a decorative middle pane) provides excellent insulation for energy efficiency. Glass has been tempered for safety and thermally sealed to be air and water tight.
High Performance Frame (Paint/Stain)

Comes standard with high quality polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend (PC/ABS) frames. These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. Frames can be painted or stained without a primer. They can also be left white unfinished and are "maintenance free" meaning they won't crack or discolor even without paint or stain. More on finishing door glass frames

Please contact us for pricing and to special order tan frames (provide a better base color if you plan on staining) or modern flat profile frames (also known as shaker or craftsman style).
Cleaning

Avoid contact with abrasive cleaners and solutions containing corrosive solvents or acid solutions. Glass can be cleaned using a soft cloth, and glass cleaner.

Plugs that cover the screws holes are very very very difficult to install. I gave up filled them with white caulk Overall very happy with results

This was a terrific project for us. We ordered the window kit only to find out that the windows were backordered but they came in in a few days. They shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. The project only took about an hour to complete. The hardest part was the cleaning of the window inserts. The actual installation was easy to complete. Loved it!!!!

We had outdated sidelites with floral brass swirls. We had our house painted, updated all of our outdoor light fixtures, and swapped out our brass door hardware…..but those outdated sidelites looked TERRIBLE. I called a local glass company and described what I wanted; the cost was astronomical. I looked online and found this kit right away. I ordered these beautiful sidelites. They came within 5 days, were exquisitely packed, and had very clear, concise instructions for installation, painting, etc. They went in perfectly and look AMAZING. I am beyond thrilled. Such a quick fix at a fraction of the cost quoted by a local company. Transformative!

high quality product. easy to install. prompt shipping of order. As the attached picture shows the door inserts and side light are different. Looks great , but not what i ordered. Ordered three matching windows. Did not notice wrong order until after install. Lucky i got the odd one in the side light.

Our window sidelights arrived in excellent condition. Packaged very well. Easy to install. Look great! Neighbor ordered some for his the next day!
