Easy Installation
Our kit makes installation easy and quick. Just use a screwdriver to secure the inside frame to the outer frame, sandwiching the glass into place. More on installation.
High Performance Frame (Paint/Stain)

Standard and Flat Profile frames for 1" thick glass are made of a superior quality polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend (PC/ABS). These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. Frames can be painted or stained without a primer. They can also be left tan or white unfinished and are "maintenance free" meaning they won't crack or discolor even without paint or stain. The tan frames are a better option if you plan to stain your frames, as they will provide a more wood-like background color and will require fewer coats of stain.
Frames for 1/2" thick glass are made of a high grade polypropylene and are also maintenance free, so they do not require paint. These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. If you do choose to paint or stain these frames, you will need a special adhesion promoting primer, which can be found in our paint section, alongside a curated selection of great paint colors that are specially formulated for doors & door glass frames.
My old frame had been painted and I attempted to remove the paint and it did not go well. So I decided to buy a new one and found Pease Doors online. Since they are also in Ohio I decided to buy the replacement door half lite window frame from them. I went ahead and got one without the grid as I wanted a change. I did paint them when I received them before installation. I had never done anything with door glass but it went smoothly.

I had painted the old window frame black on one side. Mistake. Part of it melted facing the sun, so I found this half-lite frame on Pease to replace it with. Besides having help from my husband moving the door around, I was able to install the frame by myself.
Kit was perfect everything worked well! It installed exactly as it was supposed to and I painted it the color of the door. You can't tell anything was ever replaced and it took me about 2 hours to complete the project. Thanks
Frame fits and looks great! We were concerned we wouldn't find a frame to fit the glass because the house is so old and the door is tiny. The fit is perfect, and I’m so thankful the frame was available in the smaller size. It looks amazing and saved us from having to purchase an entirely new door!
And the customer service is beyond compare. It’s old‑school excellent service with modern efficiency and fast order processing. My first frame was damaged in transit and had to be returned before it even reached my house. I reached out to the company, and not only were they responsive, but they also sent out a new frame right away.

At first, the glass frame was broken, so I was considering whether I needed to buy a whole new door. But since they sell door parts like this, I’m very satisfied that I can use it again like new.
We found Pease doors on a google search for door window frame. We had shopped several stores, but none had anything to repair the crack in the frame (see picture). We also, wanted to change from a grid window frame to an open window frame. We were happy to find Pease door had the size & what we wanted. The change was easy and the fit perfect. Now we are looking for a door sweep and will use Pease Doors again.
I made one phone call to Pease Doors and purchased a 1/2 frame door frame. I had no idea how to install this myself. I watched a provided video and had it installed with the help of my son in 15 minutes. I couldn’t be any more satisfied with this perfectly measured product.
Before the frame on the door was broken and cracked and just all around old. After is just open window. The frame was slightly challenging to install but 3 of us got it. Its beautiful and I love the open look!
The frames went in very easily and made my old doors look brand new. I originally was going to replace the framing with the exact same 9-space grid frame that was on the doors, but whoever was helping me with my measurements at Pease Doors sent back a recommendation of just the frame (no grid). It never occurred to me to get something different from what I had, but the plain frame was a better solution because it is much easier to clean! Thank you, Pease Doors!
This frame fit perfectly. I really like this frame better than the one that came with the door which was oval in center and didn't show the entire etched glass design. I feel it's a much better match to the rectangular glass and frame on left and right of door. Thank you so much.
The window framing had broke due to one of our dogs. I hated it anyways. Found this site and repainted our door inside and out and without that dang grid, it looks amazing!!
It was very hard to get the moldings lined up. We had a dent puller to pull window up so we could align screws!!!love molding color not painting it leaving that color. Would suggest your product to anyone.
The information on the website was very helpful. Measurements are absolutely critical for a job like this and this compression frame fit perfectly. While deciding the best size, the questions asked on the website were very helpful to ensure accuracy.

The door gets a lot of sun that caused the outside frames to crack in several places. It was painless to change out the frame on the lite. Just had help for less than 5 minutes while installing the frame. Good as new, very happy with the ordering, shipping, and installing. I painted the frame inside while the snow was melting. I installed it today in less than an hour.
Installing the new kit was easy. Removing the old half lite and glass was a concern not wanting to break the glass, but was successful. Although I was told instructions would be with the kit, none were provided.
I was certain that I was going to have to replace my entry door. The frame around my window had been cracked and warped for well over a year. I would fix it using clamps and various adhesive glues… I even used my Brad nailer to tack the warped frame back into place. The heat finally completed the job. You cannot find an entry door replacement kit at any local hardware store. I checked Lowe’s, Home Depot, Menards Ace Hardware, and every other mom and Pop store in between. I found peas doors online, read the reviews and Rolled the dice. Smartest move I could’ve made. I sent my dimensions and received a new window frame kit in just a couple days. Fit like a glove, and the door is As good as new. I cannot tell you how happy I am. Thank you thank you thank you. I assure you, I will be back in the Future… Hopefully not in the very near future.

Needed to replace the frame around the door window as it was cracked. Found this manufacturer and was very pleased a replacement frame was available and in stock. Following the instructions, easily removed the old/broken frame and installed the new one. It did take two of us as we left the door on the hinges. Next day primed and painted. It looks great!
