We found taking the door off was the easiest way to put it together . Definitely a two person job but it was not hard and it looks so much better!

Replacement Door Glass Frames
Frame kit with inner and outer frames, screws and screw caps. High performance plastic replacement frames resist cracking, warping, and discoloring due to heat and sunlight.

We needed to replace a cracked window frame on our metal door. The instructions provided to measure the glass gave us confidence to order a new frame. I installed the new frame after painting the door. We are very pleased with the result. With a little sweet equity we saved a lot of money vs a replacement door. Shipping was quick with great communication of the order status.
These are some before and after photos. I previously had the grid pattern and absolutely hated them, because all my other doors leading to the outside pool deck did not have them. I finally found a company, who was very reasonable in pricing ( I ordered frame only, since Inalready had the glass). I received them sooner than expected, which was awesome. I would highly recommend this company. They were very helpful and polite when speaking to them the phone about questions that I had. They also followed up with texts. Trim kit was perfect fit! Definitely have to take the glass out to properly swap the trim kit out. You’ll need 2 people for the job! I used a handle that suctions to the glass to hold it in place during swap & to pull said glass out. Customer service was top notch in helping answer my questions as this was my first time doing this work. (You DO NOT need to caulk the glass or trim as it comes pre done from the shop)
Turned out really good . Was difficult to install the kit with 2 people . We had to take the door completely off its hinges and lay it down to install the kit . And the little white plugs are really hard to put over the screws . Have to hammer them in . That being said the kit did fix the door . So much less expensive that buying a new French door

The two kits arrived really well packaged and in a timely manner. This is a high quality product. Everything went smoothly putting it in the doors. Dimensions were spot on. This saved us so much money, rather than buying two new doors. We simply removed the panes and replaced with the kit! We are so pleased and will use Pease Doors again!

Installing the new frame was a very straight forward project. Everything fit perfectly. Only need to install the screw caps. After this experience, I'm going to install a half light and frame on another door.
I learned a lot about glass frames on doors. It has been a great experience learning how to fix my door. The order process was easy and staff helped when I had questions. It took three of us to get the new frame on. One person in front, one in back and one holding the glass. The frame painted easily.

The frame set I ordered fit very well. My older doors were likely some low cost ones installed prior to my purchasing this property. Likely 20+ years old. The original internal composite window frame material was UV damaged. Resulting in cracking. These replacement frames were the fix. Worked very well. They come with a bead of sealer already applied. Replacing the frames was cheaper than buying new doors. Do have an extra pair of hands to assist to prevent damaging the glass. I removed the doors and laid them flat on the floor. Used some wood shims to lay under the new frame and door to level everything up. With that everything went together well.

Frame was a great replacement for the door. Only problem was not having help and working with 1" thick glass by myself.
After 20 years we decided to change the lite frame. We always thought the only option we had was to replace the whole door. Pease made it an affordable DIY project.
The product fit perfectly! The ease of replacement was such that this 70 year old woman did it without problematic issues. I loved that fact that the replacement lite frame had glazing already attached to one side.

Bought the plastic trim. Very easy to install
The alignment pins are critical to the installation of these frames. They align the screw holes between the interior and exterior frames and keep the heavy glass in place. 31 of the 32 total alignment pins for all 4 frames were broken. See the pictures. There were no broken pin pieces in the boxes so they were already defective before delivery. We had no choice but to use these defective frames to seal our windows to keep the cold, wet ocean air from blowing into this room were guests are staying for the holidays. It made the installation extremely difficult having to manually align the small screw holes while keeping the heavy glass in place. We won't even know whether the frames are properly sealed until the next rain storm. I am extremely unhappy with your company sending us defective products. I am removing and installing new frames. I expect a 100% refund from Pease Doors for sending me defective frames.

Was easy to install. Little difficulty getting bottom of frame to fit properly. Two person job for sure but dont use your wife. Overall very doable for average DIYer.

It is very easy to order from Pease Doors if you follow their measuring directions. The full lite frame kit I ordered came well packaged and was easy to install. To finish my project I will be ordering another frame kit but this one will also need the glass.

Frame quality is good I’ve done 2 in two weeks have many more to do on a property of 72 units. Pease did fail me on shipping a frame w no hardware. Major let down . They are off course sending a replacement to me but I suppose that is the least them could do.. Major inconvenience…

Guys make sure you measure your window. I ordered a 1/2” thick glass frame when dismantled my French door on the front of the house and the window was an inch thick. Luckily I have two more French doors and one of them was 1/2” inch thick. Thank God.
