High Performance Frame (Paint/Stain)
Material & Painting/Staining (detailed painting instructions included in box):
Standard Profile Tan and White frames for 1" thick glass are made of a superior quality polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend (PC/ABS). These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. Frames can be painted or stained without a primer. They can also be left tan or white unfinished and are "maintenance free" meaning they won't crack or discolor even without paint or stain. The tan frames are a better option if you plan to stain your frames, as they will provide a more wood-like background color and will require fewer coats of stain.
Flat Profile (also known as Shaker) frames and Standard Profile frames for 1/2" thick glass are made of a high grade polypropylene and are also maintenance free, so they do not require paint. These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. If you do choose to paint or stain these frames, you will need a special adhesion promoting primer, which can be found in our paint section, alongside a curated selection of great paint colors that are specially formulated for doors & door glass frames.
Project went pretty good. Do I need to caulk around the outside frames at all? Or is the sealant, that was on the frames when they arrived in the box, sufficient? There is a little gap around the frames on the outside, but are pretty tight on the inside all around.
I'm trying to upload two videos, a before and after, but not sure if they uploaded?

New sidelite frames fit perfectly on my 32-year-old front door thank you!

2 overpriced frames shipped to California with no packaging protection only to find one of the critical screw standoffs broken off, was not even loose in the packaging! As I already had the window out before this discovery I cut off one of the old frame standoffs and plastic welded it in place and then epoxied.......fixed :(

I thought at first that our 7x64" glass wouldn't fit, but the frame has enough "give" to hold it just fine. We painted our outer frame before installing it, though I think we might need to re-do the paint with a better primer.
Came out great, it's a definite improvement from our cracked moulding that we had before!

The Sidelite trim on both sides was old & cracked. I’ve been embarrassed of it to be honest. I googled & found you guys & you had just the thing I was looking for! The price was great & they were paintable! I painted them to match my door & they came out beautifully! Very easy to install also! Thank you guys so much! Love them so much I’m ordering them for my back door now. I just love doing home projects & making everything look as good as I can for the best price I can find:)

Repairing front door the old sidelights trim was brittle and falling apart. This was perfect for the job and went in great with a proper seal!

Replaced doorbell side first….even though it wasn’t very difficult, getting both frame pieces & window lined up was a little challenging. (Definitely a two person job). But it was a learning experience for the other side, which was the side the door is hinged on. Even with door removal, the second side went much smoother and quicker. Results were shockingly surprising, what I had gradually grown accustomed to was totally erased!! I would not hesitate to do this again….looks great and saved me money!!

The install went smooth. The removal and prep work too the longest.

My old sidelight frames were cracked at the bottom due to their age and direct sunlight. I installed two new 9x66 sidelight frames from Pease and everything went well. I had a question before my purchase and a question about the staining and varnishing process after my purchase and all of my questions were promptly answered by email.
The actual installation for both sidelights took a little over an hour with the help of my wife. The staining and varnishing took a little longer because I only put one coat on per day.
P.S. I had previously contacted the manufacturer of my door, and they said that they couldn't supply replacement parts due to the age of my door. I'm so happy I found Pease online.

Replaced frames on two sidelites. Was pretty easy! The most time consuming part was removing all the layers of paint and caulk and gunk!!! I was quoted over $800 for job. Saved $600!!! Yay!

Easy to install. Fit the existing sidelight perfectly.

Great easy install

For just a few hundred, saved myself $15-20K by not replacing a perfectly good door package. The full sidelights with simple grey glass blocks all the sun but lets in a huge amount of daylight.
Yvette W.5/5Verified
Great experience with the installation. Friendly, knowledgeable, speedy, thorough!

My sidelight window trim fit perfectly and took about 20 minutes per window to install. Before I found this window trim package I thought I was going to have to replace the entire door and window set for possibly thousands of dollars. Very happy with this trim package so far. Hopefully it can hold up to the sub zero Minnesota temperatures this winter!!

Frames arrived with one set having a pair of tabs broken off. I called customer service and spoke to Cody who asked me to send photos. I sent in these photos and received an email from Alex stating: "Those are the shipping tabs which are not needed for installation! This frame is perfectly fine to install!"
Well, that may be what they are intended for but not having the tabs made a big difference during installation.
The frame set with the tabs and receptacles intact was far easier to install. It aligned all the screw holes as soon as those two tabs were inserted into their receptacles. Being a good half-inch taller than the screw posts and their receptacles, the inside and outside frames connected and aligned so the window could be positioned within the opening before inserting or tightening any screws.
This was not the case for the frames with broken tabs. They had to be pressed into the opening from both sides and a few screws inserted to hold them in alignment for positioning. This caused difficulty in keeping both the glass positioned within the frame and the frame within the opening. It was clearly more difficult without those tabs. The Pease team should try it sometime for comparison.
I recommend the shipping department package the frames more carefully to ensure they arrive to the customer intact.

I am soo appreciative that there is a company that actually continues to support products installed in 1997. I was concerned that I was going to have to completely replace my sidelights or entire door assembly. Fortunately, I was able to replace/update my side light frames and completely improve the appearance of my front entryway. Thank You!!!!

Product was exactly as it was described to be online and by the helpful representative. Took only one day from the time I ordered to the time it arrived at my home. Excellent service and easy installation kudos.!!

Beginning of the project, and after the project. Thanks for the frame. Lowes, Home Depot and Menards were not able to tell be of your product, I plan to replace my door in the future and I will be looking at your products first!

This project was a breeze to complete! Our old side lite frames broke down after 18 years and because they were not sealing any longer we were getting ice build up on the inside of the side lite windows during the cold winter months. After finding that most places told me I had to buy a whole front door because they would either not sell side lites or advised against replacing them saying they were a matched set and it would never work, I discovered Pease! These side lites were a perfect fit and saved us over a thousand dollar when compared to an entire door installation. They look exactly like the original and were made of the same material! They sealed nicely and the pre-caulked frames made the chore mess free! Thank you Pease!

The sidelight window to my front door was popping out. I never saw that happen. The frame was broken. I looked on line that there was one store that popped up with a replacement frame. I gave Pease Doors a try and to my surprise, they were a pleasure to work with. They had the frame I needed, explained how to measure and order it, and it was delivered in 3 days. The communication was great and I installed it in an hour. I would highly recommend Pease Doors.
Thank you!!

Excellent product. The installation was very easy. Great company.
The only difference from the old glass, the grates were outside of the glass. But, no big deal.
Thanks for everything.

I was thrilled to discover that I could replace just the glass inserts in my sidelights and not have to replace the whole unit! This was so easy that now I’m giving thought to replacing the door or just adding a window to this one. Pease doors has been great to work with. I would definitely buy from them in the future.

Pretty easy install. Client tried to pull out the previous frame and didn’t realize there were screws holding it in. So I removed the previous set and installed this.

Took me a month to getting around to replacing my window frame due to weather and waiting for other materials. I didn't want to mess with using my caulking gun to do the outer windows frame so ordered some Mortite caulking rope. That stuff is awesome. I just unrolled the caulk and pressed it into the window frame caulking grooves and didn't have to worry about it running. Made the whole job easier in my opinion. The frame was easy to install and went together perfectly! I was thinking about painting it to match the blue of the rest of the trim, but my wife said she actually prefers the white unpainted surface as it makes the window stand out more. Thank you for having a great product and well written installation instructions/advice.
