Description

Simulated Divided Lite

Internal spacers (between the inside and outside panes of glass) and external grids (on the interior and exterior glass panes) create the appearance of individual panes of glass.

Door Glass and Frame Kit

New door glass can transform your entryway without the need to replace your entire door system.

Kit includes door glass, inside and outside door glass frame set, screws, and screw caps.

Measurements

Style: 3/4 Lite (rectangular)

  • Frame outside dimensions: 24" x 50" (replaces frames 23 1/2" to 24" wide and 49 1/2" to 50" tall) PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR FRAMES ARE NO MORE THAN 50 1/8" TALL (best to measure frame on inside of home if exterior frame is cracked/warped).
  • Door cutout dimensions: 23" x 49"
  • Glass dimensions: 1" thick, 22" wide, 48" tall
  • Comes Standard with Low-E Glass (both clear and micro-granite options are low-e)
Easy Installation

Our kit makes installation easy and quick. The outside frame comes pre-caulked to the glass. All you need to install the glass kit into your door is a screwdriver to secure the inside frame to the outer frame. Cover the screw heads with the included plastic caps, paint or stain if desired, and your project is finished! More on installation
Insulated Safety Glass (Low-E Standard)

Double pane insulated glass has been tempered for safety and thermally sealed to be air and water tight.

Comes standard with high energy efficiency Low-E glass, which is great in areas with cold winters/hot summers (especially if the door receives direct sunlight).
High Performance Frame (Paint/Stain)

Comes standard with high quality polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend (PC/ABS) frames. These are "High Heat" frames rated up to 200°F and are ideal if your door faces the sun or is behind a storm door that traps heat. Frames can be painted or stained without a primer. They can also be left white unfinished and are "maintenance free" meaning they won't crack or discolor even without paint or stain. More on finishing door glass frames

Cleaning

Avoid contact with abrasive cleaners and solutions containing corrosive solvents or acid solutions. Glass can be cleaned using a soft cloth, and glass cleaner.

Overall it was an easy install with one exception. This install definitely required 2 adults to complete. The external frame is only lightly attached to the window by a 3/8" wide strip of adhesive foam, not the more typical bead of construction grade adhesive. This is NOT a good connection. Fortunately I noticed this before installing so was prepared when the glass separated from the external frame and started to fall thru the window opening in the door. As I was the 2nd person stationed at the internal side of the door it was an easy catch & save but if I had not been there or had attempted this install alone it could have been a disaster. The installation video should be updated to cover this. Other than that, the window is great, the materials are good quality and the whole install took less than an hour. I live just outside Phoenix, AZ. and this door has a western exposure so is subject to intense heat (at or above 110* the last 3 days) and the window remains cool on the inside. Very impressive temperature control!
