I bought a half light insulated window that fit perfect. Had everything I needed, came very nicely packed, and although I haven’t needed service, I called Pease Doors for a question or two; they answered on the first ring and were super polite. HIGHLY recommend 2 people for this job. Wear safety glasses, gloves as needed, and proper footwear for cutting metal. Make sure you have the correct tools as well. I managed to do everything myself: removing the door, cutting the hole out of the door for the window, installing the window, and re-installing the door. I almost hurt myself doing this…but managed to be ok. GET A FRIEND TO HELP! Don’t forget to take your hardware off your door. It will make installation difficult if you don’t. I needed to speak to someone about the installation, but it was the weekend and the store was closed. However, I received a text immediately following my call on Saturday stating that they will return my call tomorrow. Overall, saved a TON of money and I have a window in my existing door that looks great with my existing sidelights. Speedy delivery and great customer service. Highly recommend.
Easier to install than expected. Under 2 hours. Great Product fit like a glove
It was easy enough to put in the biggest challenge was doing all the measuring and squaring before I cut. As I put on your Facebook page it would be really great if you shipped it with a template or stencil that you can lay on the door square up and then mark so you don't have to spend half an hour measuring and double checking everything. You could use that non corrugated real thick cardboard that is for lining pallets and it would stand up against markers or pencils that you're using to mark out the area. I had it in my head that I would be able to take the window apart and Mark out the area but when I got it I saw that wasn't possible. Even if you sold a stencil separately it would fit neatly in the box and I would have happily paid for it to save that time and second guessing.
Previous window frame was in bad shape and we feared we would have to find the budget to replace the whole door until we found this kit! I would have loved to change it to a full window, but a 1/2 to 1/2 change was more budget friendly right now and it came out great. We took the door off the hinges and laid it down to remove the old one because we feared the glass falling out of the broken frame. Our only difficulty was getting everything lined up, because the old window appears to have been a cut from a 1/4 or no window to a 1/2 and it was cut a bit too tall and had to be shimmed up, but the kit itself was easy! We took the opportunity to update the weather stripping (also from Pease!) and paint color, and I'm so happy with all the results!
I installed the half lite insert in about one hour. It was easy to cut the door to size with the measurements that were given, and the window slid in very easily. I’m delighted with the light that now enters what was a dark area of my house and the door is more attractive as well! I added an inexpensive film to the class to provide privacy and a little more interest. Overall, I was very happy with the service I received and the product.
Boy this was a nerve-wracking endeavor but turned out being one of the easiest projects! We are DELIGHTED with how it turned out. We are getting much needed light into our entryway now and it’s been such a game changer!

Ordering was super easy and they gave lots of tips to ensure we were ordering the correct size for our project. The window piece arrived quickly and was exactly as pictured. The install process only took about 30 minutes to an hour from start to finish and we absolutely love the finished look!
