Description

Door Glass and Frame Kit

Venting door glass is a great option for kitchen doors or any area where you want the option to let in a nice breeze. Our venting door glass features a removeable screen and 10 height adjustments to allow for desired airflow.

Kit includes door glass, removeable screen, inside and outside door glass frame set, screws, and screw caps.

Measurements:

Style: Half Lite (rectangular)

Standard Size:

  • Frame outside dimensions: 24" x 38" (replaces frames 23 1/2" to 24" wide and 37 1/2" to 38" tall)
  • Door cutout dimensions: 23" x 37"
  • Glass dimensions: 3/4" thick, 22" wide, 36" tall

Narrow Size:

  • This size is typically found on NARROW (30" and narrower) doors
  • Frame outside dimensions: 22" x 38" (replaces frames 21 1/2" to 22" wide and 37 1/2" to 38" tall)
  • Door cutout dimensions: 21" x 37"
  • Glass dimensions: 3/4" thick, 20" wide, 36" tall

Installation

CAUTION: RAISE the lower sash (white lever raises sash) before installing the kit into the door. Pinching the latches under the frame can damage the kit.

Install frames with the screws to the inside of the home. Tighten screws until frame is seated on the door. Do not exceed 15 in-lbs of torque. Over-tightening screws may result in a wavy appearance of the frame. Finish by installing screw hole covers (caps) by inserting the shallow edge of cover into the frame aligning with the frame profile. Press firmly into place, making sure the cover is flush with the profile.
Easy Installation

Our kit makes installation easy and quick. The outside frame comes pre-caulked to the glass. All you need to install the glass kit into your door is a screwdriver to secure the inside frame to the outer frame. Cover the screw heads with the included plastic caps and your project is finished! Tempered Safety Glass

STANDARD and NARROW sizes come with double-pane insulated glass that is sealed to be air and water tight and has been tempered for safety.

SHORT (22" x 26") size comes with single-pane glass that has been tempered for safety.
High Performance Frame

Kit includes standard white high performance plastic frames that resist cracking, warping, and discoloring due to heat and sunlight. Your white frame is maintenance free, does not require paint, and will not yellow. Due to the design, we recommend you do not paint this frame.
Cleaning

Avoid contact with abrasive cleaners and solutions containing corrosive solvents or acid solutions. Glass can be cleaned using a soft cloth, and glass cleaner.
